Layerdock makes one of these two tools. The section naming where Ruttl is the better choice is real and is not a softened weakness — if it fits your work better, buy it.
Ruttl if designers want to edit the page and show the change instead of describing it. Layerdock if the cost should follow the client list, not the headcount.

Ruttl’s distinguishing feature is edit mode. A reviewer adjusts spacing, colour or type directly on the page and shows you the change instead of writing a paragraph about it, and the edits export as CSS. For design review that removes a round of ambiguity, and it is the reason to choose Ruttl.
Both tools load the client site through a proxy, so neither needs deploy access. The difference is what is on the pin and how you pay. Ruttl is per user. With five people it is $90 a month; Layerdock stays at $19 for the workspace, though its console and network bundle is read on the $59 to $69 Agency plan.
Some of Ruttl’s AI features (SEO checks, accessibility) are labelled coming soon on its site as of this date, so we have not compared them.

Can Layerdock edit the page like Ruttl?
No. Layerdock lets reviewers pin and describe, not change the page. If proposing a visual change on the live page is the point, Ruttl is the better fit.
