Cheap website feedback tools where clients need no account

By LayerdockUpdated

A cheap website feedback tool where clients need no account lets a client open a link, click the part of your live site that is wrong and leave a comment, without signing up or installing anything. The cheapest option is MarkLayer, which is free but is an annotation tool rather than a team workflow. Among review tools, WebPinch, FeedPin, Huddlekit are the cheapest at entry, Layerdock and Pincushion start at $19 a month, and Pastel and Feedbucket cost more. Every tool below states on its own site that clients need no account. Layerdock is our product; it is not the cheapest, and it is priced per workspace with unlimited reviewers.

Free forever, no card. Clients just open the link, nothing to install.

Each tool, where it wins and where it doesn’t

MarkLayer

Pick it when: Costs nothing at all and needs no sign-up from anyone, including you.

Watch for: An annotation tool rather than a review workflow: no team workspace, assignments or tracker integrations, and annotations are cleaned up after a period of inactivity.

WebPinch

Pick it when: Adds a Kanban board, site audits and AI assist on top of feedback, and an MCP token even on the free tier.

Watch for: Per-seat billing grows with your team; the reviewer works through the extension or the app rather than the live page alone.

FeedPin

Pick it when: Low entry price and a one-command setup ("claude mcp add feedpin") for Claude Code, Cursor and Windsurf.

Watch for: Needs a script tag added to the site, so it does not fit sites you cannot deploy to.

Huddlekit

Pick it when: Cheaper than Layerdock when billed yearly, with three team members on Pro and a polished annotation and Inspect mode.

Watch for: Its page describes the agent receiving each comment's page, element and screenshot; console and network capture is not stated for MCP. Integrations need the Team plan.

Layerdock (ours)

Pick it when: The agent gets the console and network trace and Inspect design specs (spacing, radius, type, colours) with each pin, not only the comment and screenshot, and can reply on the thread and resolve the pin. Works with Claude Code, Cursor, Codex CLI, Windsurf, VS Code, Zed and Antigravity. Reviews sites you cannot deploy to, with no script tag.

Watch for: Not the cheapest entry price here, and MCP is not on the Free plan. Layerdock is ours, so weigh this row accordingly.

Pincushion

Pick it when: Same entry price as Layerdock with a forever-free plan, and Claude Code registers it as an MCP server automatically.

Watch for: Restricted projects ask reviewers to sign in.

Simple Commenter

Pick it when: Three team members and ten projects on Pro, an MCP connection for AI agents, and setup options for WordPress and Shopify.

Watch for: Needs a snippet, plugin or extension on your side, and costs more than the per-workspace tools here.

Pastel

Pick it when: Solo designers and freelancers on straightforward website projects.

Watch for: Higher entry price than the per-workspace tools above.

Feedbucket

Pick it when: Web agencies that want a focused tool with nothing extra bolted on.

Watch for: Higher entry price than the per-workspace tools above.

Common questions

What is a cheap website feedback tool where clients don’t need an account?

MarkLayer is free and needs no account from anyone, but it is an annotation tool without a team workflow. Among review tools, WebPinch, FeedPin, Huddlekit are the cheapest at entry, and Layerdock and Pincushion start at $19 a month. In all of them a client comments on the live page from a link without signing up.

Is there a free website feedback tool with no client sign-up?

Yes. MarkLayer is free with no tiers. Layerdock, Huddlekit, FeedPin, Pincushion and WebPinch also have free plans on which clients leave feedback without an account; their limits differ, so check projects, members and monthly caps on each pricing page.

Per seat or per workspace: which is cheaper?

Per seat (WebPinch, Simple Commenter extra members) is cheapest for one person and grows with every teammate. Per workspace (Layerdock, Huddlekit) stays flat as the team grows. Client reviewers are free in all of these tools.
